About SmallTextGen

SmallTextGen is a free, ad-free online tool for generating small text using Unicode superscript, subscript, and small caps characters. It was built with one goal: make the fastest, cleanest small text generator on the web.

Unlike most small text generator sites, we do not run ads, we do not track you, and we do not require sign-ups. All text conversion happens entirely in your browser — your text never leaves your device, never touches a server, and is never stored.

Why We Built This

We analyzed every top-ranking small text generator on Google (smalltext.io, LingoJam, CapitalizeMyTitle, YayText, FontVilla, and others). Across all of them, we found the same problems: intrusive ads slowing down pages, cookie consent popups interrupting workflows, tools that required clicking buttons instead of real-time conversion, and mobile experiences that felt like afterthoughts.

We built SmallTextGen to be the tool we wished existed: instant, clean, mobile-first, and completely free of distractions.

What Makes Us Different

Technical Architecture

SmallTextGen is built with Astro 5 for static site generation, Tailwind CSS v4 for styling, and vanilla JavaScript for the conversion engine. Key technical details:

  • Static HTML output: No server-side rendering at runtime. Pages are pre-built and served as static files for maximum speed.
  • Client-side conversion: All text transformation happens in your browser using JavaScript character mapping. Your input never leaves your device.
  • Deployed on Vercel: Global CDN distribution for sub-second load times worldwide.
  • Page weight: The main tool page is approximately 48 KB (including inline CSS and JS). It loads faster than every competing tool we tested.

Our Content Methodology

Every guide on our blog is based on actual testing on the live platforms. When we say “superscript renders well on Discord,” we tested it on Discord desktop (Windows, macOS) and mobile (iOS, Android). When we say “small caps are partial on Steam,” we created a Steam account and tried it. We do not publish untested claims.

We update our content when platforms change their Unicode support policies. Last content review: August 2026.

Privacy Commitment
